I’ve used a coupon for free shipping, why am I still being charged for shipping?

Our current coupon system takes any discounts directly off the price of the books purchased. If you have a shipping coupon, the dollar value of shipping will be deducted from your book. For example, if you have a free shipping coupon and use it on a $24.99 hardcover book, your order will show a $7 discount on the $24.99 book, discounting the book price to $17.99, while still showing the $7 shipping charge. The $7 deduction on the cost of the book is actually the free shipping.

How come there is a blank page at the end of my eBook?

We apologize for the blank page at the end of each eBook. Unfortunately this is a technical difficulty that we have yet to resolve with our software developers. We are currently working hard to fix this issue as quickly as possible.

Are the books available with main characters who have different skin tones?

Some books are available with main characters who have different skin tones. Please contact us directly at info@icankids.com for your inquiries. Online versions will be available soon.

The preview of the text in the book I would like to order is not formatted properly, will my customized book look like this?

If your book is not formatted properly, please contact us right away so we can fix it before your purchase.

When previewing my book there are double periods in some sentences, how do I get rid of those?

We have already added all the punctuation in the story for you. Make sure none of your answers have any punctuation in them to avoid seeing double in your book.

How do I buy a girl book?

When in your shopping cart, use the drop down menu to select GIRL in the row of the book you would like to purchase. Then click UPDATE. This will refresh the page and allow you to buy the girl version of the book.

I registered on the website but cannot log in. How do I log in to my account?

You must confirm your email before logging into the site. Go to your email and follow the link back to our site to sign in.

When I preview the book my child and I created, the answers do not show up in the text of the book.

Periodically, there maybe software errors. Go back to the question to see if all of the answers are filled in and re-submit and preview. If this doesn’t work, please contact us immediately.

I forgot my login or password.  How can I get my login code and password again?

If you had updated your profile to include your email and phone number, you can contact us and we can send the information to your email address.  If you did not update your profile, you will have to talk to your teacher to obtain your login code and password.

I would like to buy this book that I am creating. How do I buy this book?

Your parents or guardians can purchase this book for you.  Once they have registered and logged in, they will be directed to the Let’s Get Started page, and on this page, they will pick the selection Purchase a Child’s Already Completed Book.  In order to complete the purchase, they will need your login code and password.

Can I upload a class list?

To upload your student list, the student information needs to be in a certain format to ensure everything gets imported properly. The easiest and quickest way is to download one of our templates. There are two formats to choose from — excel and .csv — you may use which ever one you prefer. Unfortunately, right now we cannot accept any other formats but are working hard to develop something for the future.

Once you download our templates, copy and paste your student information in and upload the file. You will find the upload button on the right hand side of the page on the manage your class page.

Which account type should I choose when registering?

When registering for an account there are two different choices.

General User – I want to buy a book for a special child in my life.

If you are a parent or a guardian who wants to personalize a book for a special child in your life this is the account you need! With this account you can personalize and order books!

Teacher – I want to use I Can! Kids in my class.

If you are a teacher who is looking for a lesson for your class, this is the account for you! You can choice from a variety of books and lesson plans to match the needs of your class. Everything is done for you. Just upload your class list, print out the lesson plan and your ready to go!

What is a teacher account?

A teacher account is an account you can use to set up a class, choose a book, choose a lesson plan and allow for students to login and create their own personalized books! Using this account you can manage the lesson as well as keep track of your student’s progress on their assignment.

Do I have to pay more than one shipping charge if I order more than one product?

No, if your order is shipped to one address, you will be charged one shipping rate.  If the products require delivery to more than location, additional shipping charges may apply. Shipping rates are based on weight of package. One book costs $3.80 to ship within Canada and $7.80 to ship to the United States.

Can my order be delivered to an address other than my billing address?

Yes, you can add a different shipping address and billing address.

Other International shipping is currently not available.  All international deliveries, including USA, are subject to the import and custom laws of that country. Regardless of the delivery speed selected, parcels can be sometimes held up at customs. Please note that we cannot be held responsible if a parcel or item is detained or confiscated due to these laws.

Can I return a damaged item?

Yes, if your product was damaged upon receipt, you must email us within one week of receipt and we will instruct you on how to ship it back to us. We will replace the book at our cost.

Can I return my purchase if I am not happy with it?

We want you to be 100% satisfied.  Please contact us if you are not happy with your purchase and we will do our best to assist you.

Do you have a fundraiser program?

I would like to order more than one book at this time. Can I do this all at once?

Yes, you can order as many books as you want although you can only customize and order one of each book due to technical difficulties. Complete the order and each book will be added to your shopping cart.  When you are completed, please confirm your order and proceed to payment.

If you would like to customize and order two of the same book, please either conduct two transactions or contact us at info@icankids.com and we will do our best to help you.

What types of covers do you use for your books?

You can order an eBook or a book with a hardcover only.

How many pages do your books contain?

Depending on the book, there are usually between 20 and 30 pages per book.

Can I see my book before purchasing it?

Yes, you can preview the book online during the order to ensure that it is exactly what you want.

I have forgotten my password.

Go to the account login page at the top right of the navigation bar and click the link ““forgotten password””.  You will be asked for your email address and then an email will be sent to you with a new password.

How do I change my email address, password, or any other information on my account?

Login to your account at the top right of the navigation bar and click edit account details. Here you can change and replace any of the previous information you entered.

If you are already logged in, click on MY ACCOUNT in the top right of the navigation bar. You can change any information regarding your account, then click UPDATE PROFILE at the very bottom of the form.

Do you keep a record of books I have ordered?

Yes, we keep a record of the books that you ordered.  You can go to your account, which you can access quickly in the top right corner of the navigation bar.

What is your policy concerning the confidentiality of my personal information?

Do you share my personal details with any other parties?

No, the personal information that you enter in our site is not shared with any outside parties. The information you provide us is only used in the production of your customized book. Please see our privacy policy, under the “MORE” icon on the top of this page, if you have any more questions regarding the protection of your information.

How long does it take to receive the book once it has been ordered?

For a hardcover book, your book will be received within two to four weeks.

For an eBook, you should receive your order within minutes! Just check your email a couple minutes after you have made your purchase and I Can Kids will have sent you a link to download and start reading your very own personalized eBook!

Will I be notified when my order has been dispatched?

Yes, you will receive an email confirming shipment.  If your order has not arrived in the amount of time as specified based on the shipping option selected, please contact us.  Some spam filters may block our confirmation email.

What happens to the information I give?

Any personal information supplied to us will be kept confidential. We will not release any personal information to other parties. Please see our privacy policy for further information.

There is an error in the personalization of my book. Can I get a replacement?

Each book is unique and made to order. If there is an error in your book due to our mistake, we will fix or replace the book and return it to you at no cost. The return will not be expedited. We ask that you report any mistakes within 30 days of receiving the book.

While we are not responsible for errors due to incorrect information that you supply to us, if you would like to order a replacement, we will offer it to you at 50% of the original price, plus shipping costs.

Can I get my book with a personalized cover?

No, our covers are not personalized at this time.

Are your personalized books available in other languages?

The personalized books will be available in French and Spanish shortly.  Please check back with us often.

Can I order and customize by phone?

No, we do not accept orders over the phone. It is too easy to make an error regarding proper spelling and information over the phone. All orders must be in writing or ordered from our website. Ordering from our website is safe and secure.

I want a customization that is not available on the order form. Do you handle special requests?
